Kind Water Systems offers a 120-day satisfaction guarantee on all products. Try our products for 120 days, and if you are not 100% satisfied, return the item to us for a 100% refund. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. All taxes and brokerage fees on international shipments are not refundable.

Compact Whole-House Municipal Systems Warranty

All Kind Compact Whole-House Municipal systems have a Limited Lifetime Warranty from manufacturer defects. This warranty covers all E-1000, E-2000, E-3000, and any future Kind Compact Whole-House Municipal systems to the original purchaser. Kind warrants to the original purchaser, and this warranty is not transferable. The system must be maintained in normal working conditions and does not cover natural disasters, improper installation, including broken manifolds caused by overtightening plumbing fittings, misuse, alterations or modifications, accidents, freezing, or acts of God (such as flood, earthquake, fire, hurricane, lightning, or other natural disasters). Kind Water Systems retains the right to void warranties that violate its warranty coverage.

Ultraviolet Water Purification System Warranty

Kind Water Systems’ ultraviolet water purification systems are warranted to the original user only to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the period specified below. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

UV SYSTEMS: Ten (10) year Limited Warranty on the stainless-steel chamber from the original purchase date.

ELECTRONICS: Three (3) year Limited Warranty on the controllers from the original purchase date.

UV LAMPS & QUARTZ SLEEVES: One (1) year Limited Warranty on all ultraviolet lamps and quartz sleeves from the date of original purchase

This Kind Water Systems Ultraviolet Disinfection System will be repaired or replaced, at our sole option, providing that the ultraviolet system or any component is defective in materials or workmanship for the periods outlined above and subject to the “Limitations of Warranty” as outlined below. Kind Water Systems’ liability under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing the product, without charge, F.O.B. Kind Water Systems’ closest Distribution Facility. Kind Water Systems will not be liable for any costs of removal, installation, transportation, or other charges arising from a warranty claim. Kind Water Systems will not be liable for damage or wear to products caused by abnormal operating conditions, accidents, abuse, misuse, unauthorized alteration, or repair, or if the product was not installed per the manufacturer’s printed installation and operating instructions.

LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTY: This warranty does not apply to any of the following:

• Water Quality Parameters lie outside of the following ranges
  • Hardness> 120 mg/L (7 GPG)
  • Iron> 0.3 mg/L (ppm)
  • Manganese> 0.05 mg/L (ppm)
  • Tannins> 0.1 mg/L (ppm)
  • Turbidity> 1 NTU
  • Transmittance (UVT) < 75%
• A product that has been incorrectly installed according to the technical installation manual.
• A product modified in any manner unless approved by the manufacturer.
• A product where the serial number has been altered, defaced, or removed.
• Damage caused by using parts that are incompatible, suitable, and/or authorized by Kind Water Systems for use with the product (e.g., non-original lamps or sleeves).
• Damage caused during shipment of the product.
• Water damage is found inside controllers.
• Product is installed outdoors in direct contact with the environment (rain).
• Product is installed in freezing temperatures.
• Product is used in conditions that exceed Kind Water Systems specifications.

TO GET WARRANTY SERVICE: Please contact Kind Water Systems to obtain service under this warranty. Our service team will obtain a Warranty Return Authorization and will then need to return the product to Kind Water Systems, together with proof of purchase and installation date, failure date, and supporting installation data. Any defective product to be returned must be sent freight prepaid.

KIND WATER SYSTEMS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR EXPENSES ARISING FROM INSTALLATION, USE, OR ANY OTHER CAUSES. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THOSE WARRANTIES DESCRIBED OR REFERRED TO ABOVE.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY MADE BY KIND WATER SYSTEMS WITH RESPECT TO THIS ULTRAVIOLET DISINFECTION PRODUCT AND IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY. TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY AND ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES NOT SET FORTH HEREIN ARE WAIVED AND DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE. KIND WATER SYSTEMS LIABILITY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS LIMITED SOLELY TO THOSE LIABILITIES SET FORTH ABOVE. IN THE EVENT THAT ANY PROVISION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHOULD BE FOUND TO BE OR BECOME INVALID OR UNENFORCEABLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THE REMAINING TERMS AND CONDITIONS HEREOF SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT, AND SUCH INVALID OR UNENFORCEABLE PROVISION SHALL BE CONSTRUED IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO BE VALID AND ENFORCEABLE.

6-Stage Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System Warranty

Limited Warranty This Limited Warranty extends to the original purchaser of the system only. This warranty covers only manufacturer-supplied items that prove defective in material, workmanship, or factory preparation. This warranty covers parts only; all labor is excluded from this warranty, including, but not limited to, services related to the removal, replacement, installation, adjustment, maintenance, and/or repair of the unit or its components items. Excludes all non-manufacturer labor required for any unit servicing, including, but not limited to, servicing related to installation, movement, maintenance, and repair of the unit. This warranty applies only for the first full calendar year from the date of purchase. The following items are excluded from this warranty: membranes, filters, O-rings, and all other parts or components that require regular replacement due to ordinary usage. Disclaimers: This Limited Warranty applies only if the system is installed, used, and maintained in compliance with all instructions and requirements enclosed with the system.

This warranty will be void for failure to observe the following conditions:

1. The system will be used with potable water from a municipal or treated well water system.
2. Feed water pressure to the unit is no less than 40 PSI and no greater than 80 PSI.
3. The system will be used on water supplies with chlorine concentrations of 1.0 mg/L (ppm) or less.
4. Feed water temperature to the unit must be no less than 40°F and no more than 100°F.
5. Total dissolved solids in feed water must be less than 2,000 mg/L (ppm).
6. Feed water must have a pH between 4 and 8.
7. Turbidity must be less than 1.0 NTU.
8. SDI must be less than 5.
9. Feed water must be completely free of iron, manganese, or hydrogen sulfide.

Do not use microbiologically unsafe water or water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

The manufacturer does not know the characteristics of your water supply. The quality of water supplies may vary seasonally or over a period of time, and your water usage may also vary. Water characteristics can also change if the appliance is moved to a new location. The manufacturer assumes no liability for determining the proper equipment necessary to meet your requirements, and we do not authorize others to assume such obligation on our behalf.

This Limited Warranty does not cover manufacturer-supplied items that are defective due to improper parts, equipment, or materials. It also does not cover alterations or modifications to the unit or failure of a unit caused by such alterations and modifications.

This Limited Warranty does not cover malfunctions of the unit due to tampering, misuse, alteration, lack of regular maintenance, misapplication, fouling due to hydrogen sulfide, manganese, or iron, scaling from excessive hardness, turbidity greater than 1.0 NTU, Silt Density Index (SDI) greater than 5.0 SDI, or excessive membrane hydrolysis due to chlorine levels in excess of 1.0 mg/L (ppm).  In addition, this warranty does not cover damage to the unit due to fire, accident, negligence, act of God, or events beyond the manufacturer’s control.

Incidental and Consequential Damages Limitation: The manufacturer will not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages as a result of the failure of this unit to comply with express or implied warranties or any defect in the unit, including but not limited to, lost time, inconvenience, damage to personal property, loss of revenue, commercial losses, postage, travel, telephone expenditures, or other losses of this nature. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion may not apply to you.

Owner’s Warranty Responsibilities: As a condition of this Limited Warranty, the owner must ensure periodic maintenance of the system is performed as described in the literature enclosed with the system. Neglect, improper maintenance, abuse, modification, or alteration of the unit will invalidate this Warranty. Should your unit develop a defect or otherwise fail to perform in accordance with this warranty, you should contact the retailer from whom the product was originally purchased.

Implied Warranties: The implied at-law warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose shall terminate on the date one year after the date of purchase. Note: some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Other Rights: This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Full Size Whole-House Water Filters, Water Softeners, Water Conditioners, Combo Units, and Specialty Filters Warranty

This warranty cannot be transferred – it is extended only to the product’s original purchaser or first user. By accepting and keeping this product, you agree to all of the warranty terms and limitations of liability described below.

Important Warning: Carefully read the Kind Water Systems Equipment Installation, Operating, and Maintenance Instructions Manual to avoid serious personal injury and property HAZARDS and to ensure safe and proper care of this product.

*FOR AS LONG AS YOU OWN AND LIVE IN YOUR SINGLE-FAMILY HOME, this warranty covers your water treatment equipment if you are the first user of this Kind Water Systems equipment and purchased it for single-family home use – subject to all of the conditions, limitations, and exclusions listed below. Purchasers who buy the Kind Water Systems equipment for other purposes and other component parts are subject to more limited warranties and should read all of the terms in this document to ensure they understand the warranty.

What is covered by this warranty? Kind Water Systems warrants that at the time of manufacture, the water treatment equipment shall be free from defects in material and workmanship as follows:

• Residential Mineral Tank – 10 Years
• Proprietary Control Valves – 7 Years
• Other Softener / Filter Control Valves – 5 Years
• Brine Tank – 5 Years
• Other Accessories and Parts – 1 Year
• Brine Tank Components – 1 Year

* This warranty does not include media and/or cartridge filter elements.

Additional Terms & Conditions: What Kind Water Systems will do if you have a covered warranty claim – Kind Water Systems will, at its option, either make repairs to correct any defect in material or workmanship or supply and ship either new or used replacement parts or products. Kind Water Systems will not accept any claims for labor or other costs.

Additional Exclusions and Limitations: This warranty is non-transferable and does not cover any failure or problem unless caused solely by a defect in material or workmanship. In addition, this warranty shall not apply :

• If the water treatment equipment is not correctly installed, operated, repaired, and maintained as described in the Installation, Operating & Maintenance Instructions Manual provided with the product.
• Defects caused as a direct result of the incoming water quality
• If the tank is not the size indicated for the supply line size of the installation, as described in the manual.
• To any failure or malfunction resulting from abuse (including freezing), improper or negligent; handling, shipping (by anyone)
• If the unit has not always been operated within the factory-calibrated temperature limits and at a water pressure not exceeding 125 psi
• Improper storage, use, operation, accident; or alteration, lightning, flooding, or other environmental conditions
• To any failure or malfunction resulting from failure to keep the unit full of potable water, free to circulate at all times, and with the tank free of damaging water sediment or scale deposits
• This warranty does not cover labor costs, shipping charges, service charges, delivery expenses, property damage, administrative fees, or any costs incurred by the purchaser in removing or reinstalling the water treatment equipment.
• The warranty does not cover any claims submitted to Kind Water Systems more than 30 days after the expiration of the applicable warranty and does not apply unless prompt notice of any claim is given to Kind Water Systems.

THESE WARRANTIES ARE GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. NO KIND WATER SYSTEMS REPRESENTATIVE OR ANY OTHER PARTY IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY WARRANTY OTHER THAN THOSE EXPRESSLY CONTAINED IN THIS WARRANTY AGREEMENT.

Additional Warranty Limitations: ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THE PURCHASER MAY HAVE, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL NOT EXTEND BEYOND THE APPLICABLE TIME PERIODS SPECIFIED ABOVE. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Limitations of Remedies: The remedies contained in this warranty are the purchaser’s exclusive remedies. In no circumstances will Kind Water Systems be liable for more than, and purchaser-user’s remedies shall not exceed, the price paid for the product. In no case shall Kind Water Systems be liable for any special, incidental, contingent, or consequential damages. Special, incidental, contingent, and consequential damages for which Kind Water Systems is not liable include but are not limited to, inconvenience, loss or damage to property, consequential mold damage, loss of profits, loss of savings or revenue, loss of use of the products or any associated equipment, facilities, buildings or services, downtime, and the claims of third parties including customers. Some states do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you.

Return Policy

You have 120 calendar days to return a product, which begins on the day your order is placed. All returns require authorization from Kind Water Systems before shipping. If unsatisfied within the 120-day timeframe, contact Kind Water Systems’ Customer Service Department and request a Return Authorization Code by calling 888-614-5559 or filling out our contact form.

Please ensure that the product you are returning is repackaged with the original box, all the items/products, and documentation that was included when you received it. Clearly label the Return Authorization Code on the outside of the package. Kind Water Systems will not accept unauthorized returns. Kind Water Systems must receive your return within 21 calendar days of generating the RAC number. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs on all products and insuring the product during return shipping. For all returned products, you may use the carrier of your choice. Refunds

For authorized returns, Kind Water Systems will initiate a full refund (purchase price excluding shipping and handling, if applicable) when the product is received at Kind Water Systems. The package will be inspected to confirm that everything is included with the product. Your refund will be initiated according to the order’s original payment type(s). Refunds will be sent using the original payment method within 10 business days of receipt of the returned product.

Refused Orders

If an order is refused, the customer is responsible for the costs of shipping to and from their location and a restocking fee of up to 25%.
