What is the warranty?
Our systems come with a limited lifetime warranty on the tanks, 10 Year Warranty on the UV and 7 Year Warranty on the Electronic Heads, as well as a 120-day satisfaction guarantee, This means you can return it for any reason if you are not 100% Satisfied.
Can I use this system on Septic?
Yes, the E-4000UV can be used with septic. The discharge from the backwashing carbon filter will not disrupt the probiotic bacteria colonies that break down waste in your septic system. There is some concern about the sodium in the salt-softener discharge, but modern efficient softeners do not use as much salt as previous era softeners. We have never received feedback from customers over damaged septic systems due to our salt-softener.
Can this system be installed outside?
Yes, the system can be installed outside as long as the electrical components are protected from the weather. Operating temperature outside has to be between 39°F and 113°F.
What is the maintenance on the system?
- The sediment filter is designed to be replaced once a year.
- The UV bulb and sleeve should also be replaced once a year for optimal performance.
- The carbon media should be replaced every 600,000 gallons of water or 5 years, whichever one comes first.
- The salt system media will last 15 - 20 years depending on water quality.
