Microorganisms
Indicates fecal contamination in water and can cause severe gastrointestinal illness if ingested.
Forms resilient spores that survive harsh conditions, making contaminated water difficult to disinfect without proper treatment.
Chlorine-resistant parasite that can cause severe, prolonged diarrhea when present in drinking water.
Thrives in warm water systems and can cause life-threatening pneumonia when inhaled through contaminated mist.
Microscopic parasite that causes “giardiasis,” leading to stomach cramps, nausea, and unsafe drinking water conditions.

Collapsible content
How long do the filters last and what maintenance does the system require?

Can it handle water for a large household?
Yes, the KINDH5-151 is designed to handle high flow rates up to 15 GPM, making it suitable for homes with up to 5 full bathrooms and works for 98% of US homes.
How much space does it take to install?
It typically requires about 3–4 feet of wall space (doesn’t require any floor space) and should be installed in a location that is accessible for maintenance.
Will it affect my water pressure?
When installed correctly, the KINDH5-151 is designed to maintain strong water pressure of 15 GPM (gallons per minute) for your home. This is good enough to run up to 5 showers and appliances (such as dishwashers or washers ) at the same with no noticeable drop in water pressure.
Does it require electricity?
Yes, the UV system requires a standard electrical outlet.
Why do I need UV if my water is from the city?

What does a UV system sterilize?
UV system uses a strong quartz UV lamp to disinfect water without any chemicals and sterilizes 99.9% of bacteria including E.coli, viruses, and chlorine-resistant microorganisms like cryptosporidium and giardia—without changing taste or smell.
Does UV make my water taste different?
No, UV light does not alter the taste, smell, or appearance of your water.
Do I still need filters if I have UV?
Yes. Filters remove particles, chemicals, and chlorine, while UV handles microorganisms. Both work together for complete water protection.
