"Wow! What a difference! My city water is now clear, tastes better and thanks to the UV light, safer . I highly recommend"
"The parts came in from KIND very quickly. Very simple to see how unit goes together and I also got the light system to kill bacteria and viruses. This was a DIY project. First thing is to determine what the unit will be installed. Draw out how the system will be installed ensuring you have enough wall space and I need to have an electrical outlet near for the light. My house was plumbed with 3/4” pex. The inlets and outlets of all parts are 1”, so I did step down/up from 3/4” to 1”. With my pex install I used Pex clamps and 3/4” pipe. To move from 3/4” to 1” I used PVC connectors with Pex connectors to connect Pex pipe to the unit. The install went great with no leaks afterwards. Since my unit is in the garage and we some winter nights below 32 degrees I wrapped all my pipes. Please note that when I attached the filter to the system I hand tightened the filter parts. This was not enough on a city system. With the hand tool provided I titled till leak stopped. Do not over tighten. System has been in place four weeks and the quality of our city water has improved 100%. Great system with no issues."
"Water started out tasting a bit like plastic but that seems to have gone away."
"The Kind Water System was installed and every time water was run in the house. I would get a foghorn sound. This went on for several weeks, even though I was in contact with the company. The company would not pay for a plumber to come out and they did not have a representative in the area where I live. The unit was $1900. I paid $200 to have it installed. I paid for a plumber to come out twice for a total of $400, which they did not refund. They did refund my $1900 saying that the unit was faulty. I definitely believe it was a faulty unit because my installer did the same unit installation of the street for me and hers works perfectly."
"Love it. Our guests have commented how much better our water tastes. And we have the peace of mind that it is safer to drink."
"You can taste the difference the first day. Very happy with this product."
"Installed it a few days ago and all seems to be working great."
"Very pleased with having these protections in place as we are at the end of the line in an old water system. It is pretty straightforward to install but it is not something for a novice to just jump into without some assistance."
"Easy to install and so far very happy."
"I have city water and it’s always had a off taste we even tan all new water lines throughout the entire house and yet it was still there after some research I found the kind water filter site and thought why not. And let me tell ya after installing it was almost immediately different I can now drink water from the faucet the off taste is gone I’m very impressed 100% worth it"

No, but upgrading to the E-3000UV adds on a ESOFT® cartridge that uses Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC) to condition the water, preventing scale buildup without adding salt. Unlike a salt-based system systems that chemically removes minerals such as calcium and magnesium, the ESOFT® system retains beneficial minerals, hence some minor evaporative deposits may still occur.
There is no maintenance such as heavy and costly bags of salt and no waste water or brine discharge which has caused salt-based systems to be banned or restricted in several states or municipalities in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan Minnesota, New Mexico, Texas and Wisconsin.
Regular filter changes (every 6-12 months depending on your water quality) and UV lamp/sleeve replacement (once a year) are only main maintenance tasks required for E1000UV. Both filter and lamp changes are very easy and only take a few minutes, you do not need a plumber for these tasks.
