Can I use this system on Septic?

Yes, the WS-7000UV can be used with septic. The discharge from the IMS filter and backwashing carbon filter will not disrupt the probiotic bacteria colonies that break down waste in your septic system.

Can this system be installed outside?

Yes, the system can be installed outside as long as the electrical components are protected from the weather. Operating temperature outside has to be between 39°F and 113°F.

What is the maintenance on the system?

The sediment filter is designed to be replaced once a year.
The UV bulb and sleeve should also be replaced once a year for optimal performance.
The carbon media should be replaced every 600,000 gallons of water or 5 years, whichever one comes first.
The Iron media will last 7 - 10 years depending on water quality.
