What does the E2000 system do?

The E2000 is a whole-house salt-free softening system. It reduces sediment while protecting your plumbing and appliances from scale buildup.

E2000 Component Certifications
NSF/ ANSI - 61 (Drinking water safety)
NSF/ANSI - 372 (Lead free)

Does the E-2000 soften water?

The salt-free system uses Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC) to condition the water, preventing scale buildup without adding salt. Unlike a salt-based system systems that chemically removes minerals such as calcium and magnesium, the ESOFT® system retains beneficial minerals, hence some minor evaporative deposits may still occur.

There is no maintenance such as heavy and costly bags of salt and no waste water or brine discharge which has caused salt-based systems to be banned or restricted in several states or municipalities in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan Minnesota, New Mexico, Texas and Wisconsin.

How long do the filters last and what maintenance does the system require?

Regular filter changes (every 6-12 months depending on your water quality) is the only main maintenance task required for E-2000. Filter replacement is very easy and only takes a few minutes, you do not need a plumber for these tasks. E-2000 Replacement

Can it handle water for a large household?

Yes, the E2000 is designed to handle high flow rates up to 15 GPM, making it suitable for homes with up to 5 full bathrooms and works for 98% of US homes.

How much space does it take to install?

It typically requires about 3–4 feet of wall space (doesn’t require any floor space) and should be installed in a location that is accessible for maintenance.

Will it affect my water pressure?

When installed correctly, the E2000 is designed to maintain strong water pressure of 15 GPM (gallons per minute) for your home. This is good enough to run up to 5 showers and appliances (such as dishwashers or washers ) at the same with no noticeable drop in water pressure.

Does it require electricity?

No, the E-2000 does not require any electricity.

Can it be combined with other filtration systems?

Yes, the E2000 can be installed alongside additional treatment systems if needed, such as reverse osmosis, UV systems, or specialty filters.
