The E2000 is a whole-house salt-free softening system. It reduces sediment while protecting your plumbing and appliances from scale buildup.
E2000 Component Certifications
NSF/ ANSI - 61 (Drinking water safety)
NSF/ANSI - 372 (Lead free)
The salt-free system uses Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC) to condition the water, preventing scale buildup without adding salt. Unlike a salt-based system systems that chemically removes minerals such as calcium and magnesium, the ESOFT® system retains beneficial minerals, hence some minor evaporative deposits may still occur.
There is no maintenance such as heavy and costly bags of salt and no waste water or brine discharge which has caused salt-based systems to be banned or restricted in several states or municipalities in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan Minnesota, New Mexico, Texas and Wisconsin.
Regular filter changes (every 6-12 months depending on your water quality) is the only main maintenance task required for E-2000. Filter replacement is very easy and only takes a few minutes, you do not need a plumber for these tasks. E-2000 Replacement
