What does the E1000 system do?

The E1000 is a whole-house filtration and salt-free softening system designed for City Water to improve water quality for your entire home and provide better than bottle quality water from every tap. It reduces chlorine, sediment, and other impurities.

E1000 Component Certifications

NSF/ANSI - 42 (Chlorine, taste, and odor reduction, Material safety and structural Integrity)
NSF/ ANSI - 61 (Drinking water safety)
NSF/ANSI - 372 (Lead free)

Does the E-1000 soften water?

No, but upgrading to the E-3000 adds on a ESOFT® cartridge that uses Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC) to condition the water, preventing scale buildup without adding salt. Unlike a salt-based system systems that chemically removes minerals such as calcium and magnesium, the ESOFT® system retains beneficial minerals, hence some minor evaporative deposits may still occur.

There is no maintenance such as heavy and costly bags of salt and no waste water or brine discharge which has caused salt-based systems to be banned or restricted in several states or municipalities in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan Minnesota, New Mexico, Texas and Wisconsin.

How long do the filters last and what maintenance does the system require?

Regular filter changes (every 6-12 months depending on your water quality) is the only main maintenance task required for E-1000. Filter replacement is very easy and only takes a few minutes, you do not need a plumber for these tasks. E-1000 Replacement

Will it improve taste/odor of my water?

Yes, the high-performance carbon media in the E1000 is highly effective at reducing chlorine, improving taste, removing unpleasant odors in your city water.

Can it handle water for a large household?

Yes, the E1000 is designed to handle high flow rates up to 15 GPM, making it suitable for homes with up to 5 full bathrooms and works for 98% of US homes.

How much space does it take to install?

It typically requires about 3–4 feet of wall space (doesn’t require any floor space) and should be installed in a location that is accessible for maintenance.

Will it affect my water pressure?

When installed correctly, the E1000 is designed to maintain strong water pressure of 15 GPM (gallons per minute) for your home. This is good enough to run up to 5 showers and appliances (such as dishwashers or washers ) at the same with no noticeable drop in water pressure.

Does it require electricity?

No, the E-1000 does not require any electricity.

Can it be combined with other filtration systems?

Yes, the E-1000 can be installed alongside additional treatment systems if needed, such as reverse osmosis, UV systems, or specialty filters.
